According to Gorshkov, the commencement of crewed flights by Russian cosmonauts to the Moon is being postponed due to a lack of funding for the development of a super-heavy launch vehicle.
Last year, Vladimir Solovyov, the chief designer of the rocket and space corporation "Energia," stated that sending Russian cosmonauts to the Moon is planned for the period between 2031 and 2040. However, it now seems that this timeline is being pushed back to the 2040s.
