Berlin will allocate 170 million euros in emergency energy assistance to Ukraine.
The German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock announced this during her visit to Kyiv.
This was reported by
DW.
The allocated funds will be directed towards supporting Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which is being devastated by Russian shelling.
“Germany counters Putin's brutality with humanity and support – so that Ukrainians can not only survive the winter but also ensure the survival of their country,” Baerbock stated in Kyiv.
Upon arriving in the Ukrainian capital, she also reminded about the air defense initiative, under which Germany has provided Ukraine with three Patriot systems. Each air defense system that is supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine holds significant importance, emphasized the German Foreign Minister.
Let us remind you that the head of the German Foreign Ministry, Annalena Baerbock,
arrived in Kyiv on October 4.
Additionally, we remind you that the Russian Federation is
gradually increasing its drone attacks. The aggressor country still has the ability to utilize Western components, which is why sanctions must be strengthened.
