Sibiga met with Blinken in Brussels to discuss key issues, and the outcome is described as "optimistic."

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga, who met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on November 12, expressed "cautious optimism" following discussions about the potential for long-range strikes against Russia.

Сибига провел встречу с Блинкеном в Брюсселе: обсуждали ключевые вопросы, и результат оказался "оптимистичным".

This was stated by the head of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry, as reported by Reuters.

Ukraine has long urged its allies to permit long-range strikes on Russia using Western weapons. Allies, including the United States, have refrained from allowing the use of supplied weapons for deep strikes into Russia due to concerns over further escalation.

“We discussed the issue of long-range strikes and Euro-Atlantic integration. Here, we also remain cautiously optimistic,” said Sibiga, commenting on his meeting with Blinken.

He also mentioned that his discussions in Brussels addressed military assistance.

“We have a clear picture - specific timelines and volumes - of what will be provided to Ukraine by the end of the year. This helps us strategically plan our actions on the battlefield,” the minister explained.

According to him, the assistance will include weapons and resources for establishing agreements on arms production.

A number of media outlets previously reported that, according to assessments from U.S. intelligence and the Pentagon, allowing Ukraine to carry out long-range strikes on Russian territory would bring more disadvantages than benefits to Kyiv; therefore, they recommended not changing the relevant policy.

We earlier reported that the foreign ministers of Ukraine and the United Kingdom, Andriy Sibiga and David Lammy, coordinated steps during the UK's presidency in the UN Security Council.

We also mentioned that Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussed the battlefield situation, key defense needs, long-range capabilities, and Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic aspirations during their meeting in Brussels.
