The judge of the Ivano-Frankivsk District Administrative Court, Yuriy Bobrov, has ruled to collect over 2 million UAH in favor of his colleague Andriy Maleev. The funds are to be paid by the State Judicial Administration and the Ivano-Frankivsk Court of Appeal.
What happened? This was reported by "Slidstvo.Info".
Andriy Maleev, the former head of the city court, served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine from 2022 to 2023, and after his demobilization returned to his position in the court. He filed a lawsuit demanding payment of his judicial remuneration for the duration of his military service.
The State Judicial Administration denied the request, citing a lack of funds in the budget. Maleev then turned to the court, which granted his request.
Who made the decision?
Judge Yuriy Bobrov is a figure with a controversial reputation. In 2022, while serving as a military personnel, he became embroiled in a scandal: while intoxicated, he caused a traffic accident, threatened security guards of a residential complex, and fired shots into the air. The General Prosecutor's Office demanded his arrest, but the High Council of Justice refused twice, allowing Bobrov to remain in office.
It remains unclear whether the court's decision will be executed, considering the judicial administration's statement regarding the lack of funds.
