In Kyiv, the project for the construction of a road to the "Kyiv" (Zhulyany) airport has been revived, which, by the way, is temporarily not operational under the current conditions. The municipal enterprise has announced a tender for the first phase of the access road construction – and for this project, according to the Prozorro system, they plan to spend approximately 1.56 billion hryvnias.

SubscribeAs reported by "Nashi Hroshi", the road, which will be 4.3 km long, will start from Lobanovsky Avenue and extend directly to the airport. They promise special asphalt – with the addition of polymers and a surface designed to withstand our harsh conditions.
In the first phase, they will construct 2.8 km of road with two lanes, a bicycle lane, a safety lane, and sidewalks. Additionally, there will be a pedestrian bridge, traffic lights, and sewage treatment facilities. A total of 7.38 million hryvnias has been allocated for the design part, while construction works are estimated at 1.56 billion hryvnias. They expect to complete the first phase by mid-2026.
Those planning to participate in the tender must present a solid track record: the availability of necessary equipment, experience working with urban roads, and a net income in 2023 of no less than 467 million hryvnias. Companies have already started submitting requests for clarification of technical requirements and asking for adjustments to the project.

The project began back in 2010, when preparations were underway for Euro 2012. At that time, the first contract worth 174 million hryvnias was awarded to the company "Ukratomenenergo Construction," but the road was never completed. In 2017, the contractor received a new contract, but of the 200 million hryvnias, only 137 million hryvnias were paid.
Now the work has been picked up again, but it remains unclear how reasonable it is to spend such sums of money right now.
