A fragment of a Falcon 9 rocket has fallen in Poland.
Adam Borucki, a resident of the Polish village of Komorniki near Poznań, made an unusual discovery in his garden on the morning of February 19. He found a fragment of the second stage of a Falcon 9 rocket from the American company SpaceX, measuring approximately 1.5 meters in length.

Typically, the second stage of the Falcon 9 is deorbited and burns up in the atmosphere right after completing its flight mission. However, this time, things did not go as planned.
According to the Polish Space Agency, the Falcon 9 stage experienced an "uncontrolled reentry into the atmosphere" over Poland early in the morning on February 19, 2025. Fortunately, no one was harmed due to its descent, but this incident serves as yet another reminder of the real risks associated with uncontrolled rocket falls to Earth.
