Russia has launched its first series production of mobile shelters designed to protect against nuclear blasts.
The press service of the All-Russian Research Institute for Civil Defense and Emergencies (VNIIGOS) announced the launch of serial production of mobile shelters designed to protect against various threats, including natural disasters, man-made incidents, and nuclear explosions.

The standard configuration of the shelter known as "KUB-M" consists of two modules: a protective chamber that can accommodate 54 people and a technical block. The capacity of the protective structure can be easily increased by adding additional modules. If necessary, the shelter can be relocated to another site and connected to existing engineering systems.
The production of mobile shelters began in the city of Dzerzhinsk in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
