A new aircraft is being developed in the U.S. that will fly three times faster than the supersonic Concorde.

The American company Venus Aerospace, known for developing the supersonic aircraft Stargazer, has recently unveiled its new air-breathing jet engine, the VDR2. This engine is designed to enable the future airliner to transport passengers at a speed of 7,300 kilometers per hour—approximately three times faster than the iconic British-French supersonic Concorde.
В США разрабатывают новый самолет, который сможет летать в три раза быстрее, чем сверхзвуковой «Конкорд».

The first test flight of the VDR2 engine is expected to take place next year. It will be installed on an unmanned aerial vehicle for the tests.

For takeoff, Stargazer will utilize conventional jet engines, and then, after reaching supersonic speed, it will switch to the VDR2.

If Stargazer ever becomes a reality, a flight from London to New York, which is slightly over 5500 kilometers apart, would take less than an hour.
