Video: A meteor burned up in the sky over Yakutia.
On December 3rd, at 7:14 PM Moscow time, a small asteroid named C0WEPC5 burned up in the sky between the settlement of Olekminsk and the city of Lensky in Yakutia. Its diameter was estimated to be 70 centimeters. It's possible that some small fragments reached the surface of our planet.

Astronomers discovered C0WEPC5 shortly before its entry into Earth's atmosphere and accurately predicted the impact location. This marks only the 11th time in history that an asteroid's fall has been anticipated in advance.
