The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has transferred the functions of the Central Medical and Sanitary Expert Commission to the Ukrainian State Scientific Research Institute of Medical and Social Problems of Disability located in the city of Dnipro.
According to the
press service of the Ministry of Health, the corresponding order was signed by the head of the department, Viktor Lyashko.
The ministry noted that the necessary material and technical base has been established at this institute throughout the current year, which should significantly simplify the process of conducting expertise.
Recall that earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, fulfilling the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, as well as the president,
approved a plan to combat corruption and other offenses among medical and social expert commissions (MSEC).
This was preceded by a series of high-profile events related to the MSEC: in particular, on October 5, employees of the State Bureau of Investigations
detained and announced suspicions of illegal enrichment against the head of the Khmelnytsky regional center for medical and social expertise. Prior to this, law enforcement officers conducted several searches in the official offices and at the residence of the official and her relatives, resulting in the discovery of millions in cash and other valuables.
