An astrophotographer captured 1.4 million stars in a single shot.

Renowned astrophotographer Andrew McCarthy recently shared a stunning new image of the Milky Way that he captured during the night in Texas.

According to McCarthy, his photograph captures a total of 1.4 million stars.

While this number may seem enormous, it is actually just a drop in the ocean: estimates suggest that the total number of stars in our Galaxy ranges from 200 to 400 billion.
