NASA astronaut Don Pettit shared a photo on social media platform X of the upper stage of Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket, which embarked on its inaugural flight on the morning of January 16, 2025. Pettit captured this image from aboard the International Space Station.

In this photograph, the upper stage of New Glenn appears as a faint streak of light stretching from the lower right corner to the upper left, cutting across brighter trails.

Pettit explained that capturing the image was quite challenging. At the start of the shoot, the ISS was positioned over Oklahoma, and by the end, it was above the central part of the Gulf of Mexico.
