An analysis revealed that several countries are increasing their investments in the space sector. While the United States continues to lead in global government spending, its share fell to 59% last year, down from over 75% in 2000. This decline reflects the growing investments from China and other nations in the space industry.

China ranked second in government spending on the space sector, Japan came in third, Russia fourth, and France fifth.
