A new image of the sixth-generation Chinese fighter jet has been released.
A previously unpublished photograph of the prototype for China's sixth-generation fighter jet, developed by Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group, has surfaced on Chinese social media.

The aircraft first took to the skies in late December 2024. It is believed to be named "Jian-36" (J-36).
The new fighter jet is not designed for direct aerial combat. Its role may focus on managing combat drones, long-range interception, and commanding a large combat system that includes both manned and unmanned aircraft.
