The Russian orbital station will evolve into a hybrid complex combining human and machine elements.
During the plenary session of the "Royal Readings - 2025," Viktor Khartov, the chief designer of automatic space systems and complexes, announced that a human-machine hybrid complex will be established on the Russian Orbital Station (ROS) through active interaction between humans and automated devices.

At the national station, automated platforms will operate alongside humans, Hartov stated. He believes that a combination of crewed and automated supply systems for the station should be developed together, rather than separately.
In his speech, chief designer for crewed space systems and complexes Vladimir Solovyov announced that the scientific and energy module, from which the creation of ROS will begin, is set to launch into space in December 2027.
