In a message on his platform Truth Social, the new American president announced that he has asked SpaceX founder Elon Musk to go retrieve two astronauts whom the Biden administration has effectively left stranded in space.
Musk promised that SpaceX would fulfill the request as soon as possible.
In fact, Wilmore and Williams could return home at any time at NASA's discretion, as seats have already been reserved on SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft (Crew-9 mission). He delivered Russian cosmonaut Alexander Gorbunov and NASA astronaut Nick Hague to orbit last September.
