News has emerged on social media that former head of the Lviv customs, Oleg Shakhray, has become the owner of a rather "modest vehicle", albeit indirectly. This concerns a car valued at 2.4 million UAH.

In his Telegram channel, journalist Taras Seredych shared a video showing Oleg Shakhray, the former head of the Lviv customs and now an employee of the Kyiv customs, getting into a brand new Mercedes-Benz GLC 200 from 2022.

Meanwhile, colleagues from the "kORDon" channel quickly discovered that this "modest car" belonging to Oleg Shakhray is actually registered to his 83-year-old father. The vehicle was registered on May 2, 2024, under license plates that were previously assigned to a Mazda CX-5, also owned by his father.

Additionally, journalists managed to locate the same vehicle when it was listed for sale. It was being sold for $58,500, which is approximately 2.4 million UAH.

It is worth noting that Oleg Shakhray led the Lviv customs from August 2022 until February 17, 2023. As of today, he is an employee of the Kyiv customs. Interestingly, before his time in Lviv, he served as acting head of the Kharkiv customs, where at the onset of the occupation, 42 customs officers at just one checkpoint switched allegiance to Russia...

Mercedes-Benz GLC 200

Currently, his declarations are not publicly available, which may be related to his wife, who, according to media reports, works for the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

"Well... since the declaration is classified and journalists have discovered a valuable vehicle, the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NACP) should check whether Mr. Shakhray has declared this update to his vehicle fleet," commented former MP Ihor Mosiychuk in his Telegram channel.
