A next-generation missile equipped with a turbojet engine was launched from a Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jet at the Vidsel test range in Sweden.
The new weapon is intended for use against air defense systems, ships, tanks, fortified structures, and fast-moving vehicles. SPEAR missiles will be equipped on F-35 aircraft, which will be capable of carrying up to eight of these munitions.
