Initially developed for military applications, STRIX was unveiled to the public in February of last year at the Avalon Airshow in Australia. It is capable of flying autonomously or via remote control over long distances.
The production version of STRIX is expected to be equipped with a hybrid engine, enabling it to carry a payload of 160 kilograms over distances of up to 800 kilometers.
During its first flight, STRIX achieved its primary flight test objectives, including safe and autonomous operation of a completely new vertical takeoff and landing aircraft configuration.
