The Verkhovna Rada has voted in favor of a bill aimed at strengthening control over the gambling market.
In particular, this document provides for the dissolution of the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries.
This was
reported by people's deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
A new authorized body will be established in place of KRAIL by April 1, 2025, and an agency will be designated to develop policies in the gambling and lottery sectors.
Earlier, we
wrote that in late November of this year, the Verkhovna Rada's committee on financial, tax, and customs policy supported a draft law to dissolve the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (KRAIL) and to impose restrictions on gambling advertising.
Let us remind you that in April of this year, the Rada
adopted draft law No. 9256-d (on the dissolution of KRAIL and strengthening control over the gambling business) in the first reading.
