The head of Lockheed Martin responded to Musk, who claimed that only "idiots" would build fighter jets.

The head of the British division of the American defense contractor Lockheed Martin, Paul Livingston, defended the trillion-dollar program for developing stealth aircraft after Elon Musk claimed that drones had rendered them obsolete.
Глава Lockheed Martin ответил на слова Маска, который заявил, что лишь «идиоты» будут заниматься строительством истребителей.

Livingston stated that the F-35 continues to surpass all other fighters in terms of capabilities. He also responded to suggestions that the program does not justify its costs. According to the Lockheed Martin leader, the F-35 eliminates the need to utilize multiple types of aircraft for mission execution. They provide NATO countries with a significant technological advantage and create jobs for the production of high-quality equipment.

When asked about Elon Musk's remark that only "idiots" would continue to build F-35 aircraft after the emergence of cheaper drones, Livingston replied: the American billionaire lacks sufficient information to realize that he is mistaken.
