The founder of the football club "Rukh" and the charitable foundation "Rukh u maybutne," Grigory Kozlovsky, took the initiative to organize the charity tournament "Cup of Heroes" and an auction, which took place in Lviv in honor of Defender's Day for Ukraine.
The event was organized in collaboration with the Lviv Regional Military Administration and the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment.

“For us, organizing the 'Cup of Heroes' tournament was not only an opportunity to bring people together around sports but also an important step in supporting our military. We raised 4 million hryvnias, which will be used for purchasing drones and rehabilitating the wounded. This shows that each of us can contribute to the common cause, and we must continue to support our defenders,” -
noted Grigory Kozlovsky, founder of FC “Rukh”.

Six teams participated in the competition, comprised of military personnel, police officers, and medical staff, as well as star football players, including Yuri Pankiv, Valery Fedorchuk, Nikolai Morozuk, and others. The participants competed in a media football format to not only showcase their sports skills but also to boost morale.

“FC 'Rukh' is constantly involved in helping the military through charitable tournaments and auctions. It is important for us that the guys can compete, gain positive emotions, and help meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” - stated Oleg Shpur, Executive Director of the 'Rukh in the Future' Charity Fund.

After the group stage of the competition, where teams were divided into two groups, the best teams were the 6th Volyn and 3rd Luhansk border detachments, which faced off in the final against the team from the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region. The regular time ended in a 2:2 draw, but the border guards were more accurate in the penalty shootout.
The event also featured a weapons exhibition, and spectators had the opportunity to enjoy dishes and performances by the canine service.

After the competitions, a charity auction took place, hosted by Andrey Bednyakov. In total, 4 million hryvnias were raised for the purchase of drones and the rehabilitation of wounded soldiers. The event also saw the participation of notable personalities such as Svyatoslav Vakarchuk and Viktor Didukh.

Kozlovsky noted that organizing the charitable tournament 'Cup of Heroes' is our collective responsibility and an opportunity to support our defenders. Football unites, brings positive emotions, and we were able to raise 4 million hryvnias, which will go towards purchasing drones and rehabilitating wounded soldiers. This shows that
together we can accomplish a lot for our country.
This tournament, held for the second time, became an important event for all participants, highlighting the unity and support for Ukraine's defenders.
