The domestically produced Tu-214 aircraft has successfully completed its inaugural test flight.
Konstantin Timofeev, the First Deputy General Director of the United Aircraft Corporation, announced that at the Kazan Aircraft Plant named after S. P. Gorbunov, the Tu-214 aircraft, equipped with Russian components, has successfully completed its inaugural test flight.

The aircraft, equipped with domestically-produced components, was in the air for one hour and 10 minutes. The crew conducted all necessary checks of the systems and onboard equipment. The flight mission was completed in full.
The Tu-214 is a medium-range narrow-body passenger aircraft capable of carrying between 155 and 210 passengers. Its maximum range is 6,710 kilometers.
These airplanes have been produced in limited series at the Kazan Aircraft Plant since 1996.
