Asia is investing heavily in automation and advanced manufacturing technologies: these countries and regions occupy half of the top 10 positions for the highest number of industrial robots per 10,000 employees. Among them are South Korea, Singapore, Japan, and China, including its territories Hong Kong and Taiwan.
South Korea holds a leading position globally: there are 1,012 robots per 10,000 employees, which is more than six times the global average of just 151 robots.
Currently, approximately 30% of all industrial robots are utilized in the automotive industry, while 26% are in electronics manufacturing.
