China has tested a new engine for its supersonic aircraft, Yunxing.
On December 17th, experts from the Chinese company Space Transportation successfully tested the high-speed air-breathing jet engine JinDou400.

According to the manufacturer's data, the JinDou400 engines are being developed for the future supersonic passenger aircraft Yunxing. They will enable the aircraft to reach speeds of up to 4900 kilometers per hour at altitudes exceeding 20 kilometers.
During the testing, the performance characteristics of the engine in flight, as well as the fuel supply and control systems, were evaluated.
