ISRO specialists reported that the "Chandrayaan-2" spacecraft altered its position on September 19 to avoid a close approach with "Danuri," which was anticipated to occur at the end of September if the Indian spacecraft's trajectory had not been adjusted. According to ISRO, the subsequent maneuver on October 1 also helped "Chandrayaan-2" steer clear of a potential collision with NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO).
Such maneuvers to prevent collisions are not uncommon in lunar orbit. In just the past year and a half, the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), which operates "Danuri," reported averting 40 potential collisions between LRO, "Chandrayaan-2," and "Danuri."
