Representatives from Boeing announced that Digital Receiver Technology will be sold to Thales Defense & Security, a subsidiary of the largest defense electronics manufacturer in Europe, Thales SA.
This move is part of Boeing's strategy to strengthen its financial position, which has been affected by a downgrade in its investment credit rating due to delays in the production of the 737 MAX, 767, and 777 aircraft, as well as issues arising from a union strike.
Additionally, Boeing will reduce production of the 737, 767, and 777 aircraft along with job cuts.
