The Perseverance rover has reached the edge of Jezero Crater for the first time.

At the end of last week, NASA's Perseverance rover reached the edge of Jezero Crater. This milestone marks the completion of a climb that lasted three and a half months, during which the rover traversed 500 meters of the crater's sloped terrain.

Now, Perseverance is embarking on a new path and a new scientific campaign that will be long and challenging. It is expected that next year, Perseverance will visit up to four different geological sites and cover approximately 6.4 kilometers across the surface of the Red Planet.
