The launch date for the Russian rocket "Soyuz-5" has been announced.
According to the protocol of the Russian-Kazakh intergovernmental commission regarding the Baikonur Cosmodrome, "Roscosmos" and the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan are tasked with ensuring the first flight tests of the promising medium-class two-stage rocket "Soyuz-5" take place in December 2025.

The new rocket will be capable of delivering up to 17 tons of payload to low Earth orbit. Launches will take place from a site at Baikonur that was previously used for "Zenit" rocket launches.
Currently, the production of prototype "Soyuz-5" rockets is in full swing. The casings for the first and second stage tanks are already completed.
