The Ukrainian state postal company "Ukrposhta" has found itself at the center of a scandal due to the introduction of a mandatory "charitable" contribution, which is sent to a private fund associated with former Minister of Economy Tymofiy Milovanov.

SubscribeAccording to MP Nina Yuzhanina, when paying for parcel delivery, an automatic addition of 1 hryvnia to the "Kyiv School of Economics" charitable fund is made, allegedly for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Notably, it is impossible to opt out of this contribution, despite its "voluntary" nature.

Yuzhanina emphasizes that the "Kyiv School of Economics" is a private higher education institution, partially funded by Western grants. The institution is led by Tymofiy Milovanov, who also serves as an advisor to the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak.

According to the deputy's calculations, the fund could receive up to 50 million hryvnias annually through this scheme. Yuzhanina calls on law enforcement agencies to immediately initiate an investigation into the forced collection of funds.
This practice raises questions about the legality of "Ukrposhta's" actions and the use of state resources in the interests of private entities.
