Australia's first domestically produced rocket has received clearance for launch.
On November 5, Gilmour Space announced that it has received approval from the Australian Space Agency for the inaugural flight of its Eris rocket from the Bowen Spaceport in North Queensland.

Founded in 2012, Gilmour Space is developing a three-stage 25-meter rocket named Eris, which will be capable of delivering a payload of up to 215 kilograms to a sun-synchronous orbit.
This will mark the first orbital launch of a rocket entirely built in Australia. Testing is expected to be completed by mid-January 2025.
