Recently elected U.S. President Donald Trump announced on December 4 that he has chosen billionaire, pilot, and astronaut Jared Isaacman to serve as the administrator of NASA.

Isaacman has experience in spaceflight: he led two groundbreaking private missions to low Earth orbit, both of which utilized SpaceX equipment.
Jared Isaacman became well-known for the Polaris Dawn mission, which included the first-ever commercial spacewalk in history.
