Member of Parliament Petro Poroshenko has been implicated in financial schemes involving state securities (OVGZ), which the oligarch purchased through his bank using donations from Ukrainians. The main source of income turned out to be the MP's charitable foundations, which collect money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine but redirect it for the benefit of the leader of "European Solidarity," – states an investigative report by "Comments.ua."

SubscribeAccording to information, not just one, but three charitable foundations associated with Poroshenko are collecting funds from the public.
“According to the tax reporting of the NGO ‘Solidarity Initiative,’ in 2022, it received 152.2 million UAH, and in 2023 – 203.7 million UAH in profit. The ‘Poroshenko Fund’ reported 203.9 and 357.6 million UAH respectively. Meanwhile, the ‘ROSHEN Fund’ received 366.7 and 516.43 million UAH. According to calculations, investments in securities will allow the politician to gain a 32% profit over nearly two years (22 months). Significantly, this profit will also not be subject to taxation,” – the journalistic investigation materials state.
Moreover, journalists note that all payments and securities purchases by Poroshenko's foundations are conducted through his “International Investment Bank.”
“Just for the cash management services of the OVGZ purchase operations at the bank, he earned at least 1.5 million UAH in commission. This means the politician effectively receives double earnings through this scheme,” – media reports.Popular articles now Horoscope for December 17: coffee, patience, and a few tips from the zodiacal forces Debtors for utilities will be thoroughly "shaken down": they will have to pay bills and add extra payments The heating season is under threat: experts sound the alarm over gas shortages Cheap communication for pensioners: "Kyivstar" made a statement Show more
Journalists also highlight that Poroshenko's earnings from charity are punishable by law.
“Charitable foundations are non-profit organizations and therefore cannot earn funds; meanwhile, through them, Poroshenko purchases OVGZ, which is an investment, receiving significant profits even during payment transactions. This raises questions of criminal liability: according to part 3 of article 201-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the use of charitable donations for profit during martial law is punishable by imprisonment for a term of five to seven years with confiscation of property,” – the article concludes.
As previously reported, the leader of “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko, who is officially suspected of treason for trading with ORDLO, has enriched himself to 1.2 billion dollars over the past year and has entered the ranks of the top three oligarchs alongside Akhmetov and Pinchuk. However, he had to transfer his wealth to his fugitive son Oleksiy to avoid being associated with enrichment during the war.
