The President of Ukraine has implemented the promised sanctions against the Georgian authorities.

This concerns, in particular, the head of the government, Ivanishvili, and 19 other Georgian officials.

“These are sanctions against the part of the current Georgian government that is surrendering Georgia to Putin,” emphasized the head of our state in a corresponding message on Telegram.

Let us remind you that President Zelensky instructed to prepare sanctions in response to the actions of the current authorities in Georgia. “It is simply disgraceful what they [the Georgian government] are doing against their own people. And when this government in Georgia is praised in Moscow, it clearly indicates who they are currently working for in Tbilisi and for whom they are suppressing protests,” Zelensky commented.

We should also note that large-scale protests against the falsification of parliamentary election results continue in Georgia. The authorities are attempting to suppress these protests, conducting searches and detaining leaders of the Georgian opposition.
