The intention to build the tallest building in the world has been announced in Kuwait, where the skyscraper "Burj Mubarak Al-Kabir" is planned to reach a height of 1001 meters.
The building will feature a mix of residential, hotel, and office spaces and will accommodate 7,000 people. Its construction is expected to be completed by 2035.
Last month, the Jeddah Economic Company (JEC) from Saudi Arabia decided to resume the ambitious project of constructing the Jeddah Tower, which will reach a height of one kilometer. The tower is planned to be completed by 2028.
0Russia is also keeping pace with global trends: in Saint Petersburg, preparations have begun for the construction of the "Lakhta Center - 2" skyscraper, which will stand at 703 meters tall. Its construction is scheduled for completion by 2031.
1In China, there are plans to build the Shenzhen Tower, which will reach a height of 642 meters, becoming the gateway to the city and the tallest building in the country.
It will house commercial, public, office, hotel, and residential spaces. The completion of the construction is slated for 2030.
2The proposed Nexus Tower, standing at 595 meters, will also be built in Shenzhen and will boast a unique shape for a skyscraper. According to the concept, the architects have moved away from the traditional linear model and plan to assemble the building from three segments of varying heights.
According to the project authors, this arrangement will provide more natural lighting and better ventilation. The Nexus skyscraper could be constructed by the beginning of the next decade.
