Rocket Lab has set a new record for the highest number of launches in its history.

On December 21, 2024, New Zealand engineer Peter Beck's company successfully launched an Earth observation satellite for the Japanese firm Synspective. The Electron rocket took off from the LC-1B launch pad in New Zealand, placing the satellite into its designated orbit, marking Rocket Lab's final planned launch of the year.

In 2024, Rocket Lab completed 16 missions (14 orbital and two suborbital), which is a 60% increase compared to 2023. All of these missions were successful. However, the launch plan for this year was not fully met, as the company led by Peter Beck had aimed for 22 launches.

The Electron rocket currently shares third place with Soyuz-2 for the most orbital space launches worldwide, following Falcon 9 and Long March 2.

Next year, Rocket Lab is expected to reach a new milestone by launching its Neutron rocket for the first time.
