For the fourth consecutive year, Roscosmos is reducing the number of launches.

The State Corporation "Roscosmos" has summarized the results of 2024 and announced its achievements. Notably, it has recorded an unprecedented series of accident-free launches of Russian rockets, totaling 134 since 2018.
«Роскосмос» уже четвертый год подряд сокращает количество своих запусков.

In addition, last year, astronaut Oleg Kononenko set a world record for cumulative time spent in space — 1110 days, 14 hours, 58 minutes, and 43 seconds.

Another record was the launch of 51 Russian spacecraft into orbit simultaneously: two scientific satellites, “Ionosfera-M,” and 49 small satellites as part of the “Universat” program and for the Space-Pi project.

At the beginning of December, the thousandth launch of the R-7 rocket family took place from Plesetsk, and on December 25, the 2000th launch in the history of the R-7 family occurred.

It is also worth noting the first launch of the heavy-class rocket “Angara-A5” from the Vostochny Cosmodrome.

In total, in 2024, “Roscosmos” conducted 17 launches. This is fewer than in 2023 (19), 2022 (22), and 2021 (25). However, the number of launches is expected to increase soon, as Russia plans to build its own space station and create a satellite constellation for high-speed data transmission with global coverage.
