Russia has successfully conducted its 2,000th launch of the R-7 missile family.

This was the 17th launch of a Russian space rocket in 2024 and a milestone — the 2000th launch overall — for the R-7 family of carriers. The Earth remote sensing satellite "Resurs-P" No. 5 has entered its target orbit.
