Northern lights over the Dnipro: the sky has turned a stunning shade of pink (PHOTOS)

On the evening of October 10, residents from various regions of Ukraine witnessed the northern lights. It was visible even in Dnipro. Social media users actively shared photos of the sky in bright pink hues. This is reported by "Vідомо," referencing the Telegram channel "Днепр Сейчас".

The activity in the sky was triggered by a powerful solar flare that occurred on October 8. This flare was accompanied by a coronal mass ejection directed towards Earth. Since 2005, similar solar activity has only been recorded in May of this year, leading to the appearance of the northern lights on the night of October 10-11.

According to the published photos and videos, the northern lights were visible not only in Dnipropetrovsk but also in many other regions, including Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Rivne, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, and even in Kherson. This unique phenomenon has become a true gift for Ukrainians.

Experts report that this may not be the last opportunity to see the northern lights in Ukraine. The magnetic storm that caused this phenomenon will last until October 12, so residents across different regions of the country can expect another light show in the sky.
