The first satellite capable of withstanding acceleration of up to 10,000 g has been developed.

Experts from the startup SpinLaunch, in collaboration with engineers from Portland State University, have designed and constructed the first satellite capable of withstanding free-fall acceleration of up to 10,000 g.

To achieve this result, the engineering team had to make minor adjustments to the device's design.

They modified the batteries for improved stability and replaced aluminum 6061 with a more durable alloy, 7075. Additionally, they reinforced parts of the printed circuit boards to minimize stress on sensitive components.

The new satellite is designed to withstand a launch from the SpinLaunch orbital launch system, which resembles a massive "slingshot" and will be capable of delivering small satellites to low Earth orbit.
