A court halted Musk's attempt to secure $100 billion.

The Delaware state court has denied Tesla CEO Elon Musk's request for the payment of compensation that was approved by the company's shareholders in 2018.
Суд отклонил попытку Маска получить 100 миллиардов долларов.

Let’s recall that six years ago, at a Tesla shareholders' meeting, it was decided that the company’s CEO would not have a fixed salary. Instead, he is to receive 12 tranches of Tesla options over a period of 10 years. The compensation payout depended on financial performance: the company was tasked with achieving significant growth in value and profit, which it did.

As of today, the reward has exceeded $100 billion, based on the latest Tesla stock price. However, Musk will not receive this money, as a Delaware court upheld a January ruling stating that the entrepreneur is not entitled to compensation for his work. Even though a new Tesla shareholders' meeting in June 2024 supported the idea of paying him the specified amount, allowing the company to appeal the January court ruling, the judge has now dismissed this appeal, believing that the company was fabricating new facts to revise the verdict.
