The Eighth Appellate Administrative Court has prohibited the activities of the "Slavic Party" and ordered the confiscation of its property, funds, and assets for the benefit of the state.
This information is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Justice on
Facebook.“The decision of the Eighth Appellate Administrative Court dated 22.10.2024 in case No. P/857/10/24, regarding the claim of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine against the political party 'Slavic Party', with the Security Service of Ukraine as a third party not making independent claims in the dispute, has granted the request for the prohibition of the political party's activities,” the statement reads.
The ministry emphasizes that the activities of the political party 'Slavic Party' are prohibited, and the property, funds, and other assets of the political party, as well as its regional, city, district organizations, primary organizations, and other structural formations, have been transferred to state ownership.
“Slavic Party” is a pro-Russian political force in Ukraine, previously known as the “Civil Congress of Ukraine” until 1998.
Earlier, the Eighth Appellate Court of Lviv prohibited the
activities of the party “Happy Ukraine” on July 5. It was created by former Minister of Revenues and Duties Oleksandr Klymenko.
On June 13, the Eighth Appellate Administrative Court in Lviv also banned the
party “Socialists,” which the National Security and Defense Council and the Ministry of Justice consider pro-Russian.
Recall that the Eighth Appellate Administrative Court has previously
prohibited the functioning of the pro-Russian political party “Opposition Bloc” in Ukraine.
