The duration of the spacewalk was nine hours and six minutes, surpassing the previous record of eight hours and 56 minutes set by NASA astronauts James Voss and Susan Helms in 2001 during the STS-102 mission.
The taikonauts, dressed in the "Feitian" extravehicular activity suits, completed a variety of tasks, including the installation of devices for protection against space debris.
Earlier, the China National Space Administration (CNSA) reported that the "Feitian" suits are designed for use in space for up to eight hours, with a lifespan of three years.
