According to data from the portal Global ChinaEV, Tesla is set to launch production of a new electric vehicle named Model Q in the first half of next year. The project has the codename Redwood and will be 15% smaller and 30% lighter than the Model 3. Insiders have reported that the electric car will feature an LFP battery available in configurations of 53 and 75 kilowatt-hours, as well as options with one or two motors.
However, this is likely just a rumor, as Elon Musk previously canceled plans for new, more affordable Tesla electric vehicles to focus on developing autonomous Cybercabs and Cybervans.
