Military analyst and head of the Agency's supervisory board, Taras Chmut, writes for "Law and Business."
“I do not comment on the rumors and manipulations from the ACC,” - Chmut responded on the social network "X" (formerly Twitter).
He emphasized that defense procurement is an extremely sensitive and speculative issue in Ukraine.
“On one hand, this area has been accompanied by dozens of scandals for many years (particularly, throughout my involvement in military matters since 2008). On the other hand, society, journalists, and the international community pay significant attention to it. Additionally, the complexity and opacity of the 'market' itself, which operates in a unique manner, adds to this. All of this turns the defense procurement sector into a complicated system involving numerous stakeholders, scandals, and intrigues,” - Chmut added.
Thus, he commented on the ACC's claims regarding the Ministry of Defense's influence over the Agency, the scandal involving the transfer of funds from the State Special Communications Service to border guards, and the procurement of shells from a Polish company at inflated prices.
