The world's oldest man has passed away.
John Alfred Tinniswood passed away at the age of 112 in the United Kingdom. In April 2024, representatives from the Guinness World Records recognized Tinniswood as the oldest man on the planet, and in August, he celebrated his 112th birthday.

John Tinniswood was born on August 26, 1912, served in World War II, worked as an accountant for most of his life, and retired in 1972.
Tinniswood attributed his longevity to sheer luck, although he noted that his active lifestyle likely contributed as well.
“I don’t feel my age; I don’t worry about it. Probably that’s why I’ve lived so long,” Tinniswood stated in one of his interviews.
