China has developed its first rescue robot, designed to monitor the river around the clock.

Chinese engineers have developed the first AI-powered rescue robot capable of operating autonomously. The innovative device has already been tested on the Luohe River in the urban district of Luoyang. Soon, the robot will begin regular patrols in that area.

The rescue robot is capable of analyzing the situation to determine why a person has ended up in the water and whether they need assistance, as well as quickly coming to their aid.

The robot is equipped with a special buoy and manipulator, which allow it to pull a person out of the water if the victim is unable to grasp the edge of the device that will transport them to shore.
