An 18-year-old girl tragically lost her life in a fire in Kryvyi Rih.

In Kryvyi Rih, a fire broke out in a high-rise building on the night of October 8, according to "Vidomo," citing the State Emergency Service in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The incident occurred on Mykhailo Mykhnovskyi Street in the Ingulec district. Upon arrival, firefighters determined that the fire started in an apartment on the fifth floor of a five-story residential building. Household items were ablaze in a room of the 8 sq. m. apartment.

During the firefighting efforts, rescuers found a girl born in 2006 inside the building, showing no signs of life. They also rescued a woman born in 1983, who was subsequently hospitalized by emergency medical personnel.

A total of 10 rescuers and 3 units of firefighting equipment were dispatched to the scene.
