The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office has refuted media reports claiming that regional prosecutor Serhiy Bizhko receives a disability pension, as reported by "Vedomo".

"According to Article 86 of the Law of Ukraine 'On the Prosecutor's Office', based on the decision of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, the head of the regional prosecutor's office, Serhiy Bizhko, has been receiving pension benefits for years of service since 2020, amounting to 6,986 hryvnias per month. The first deputy head, Valeriy Pryhozhanov, receives a pension for years of service of 10,243 UAH per month. The deputies, Oleksandr Savenko, Ruslan Vakhtov, and Oleg Ryzhенко, are not pensioners. Neither the head of the regional prosecutor's office nor his deputies have ever held the status of a person with a disability and do not receive corresponding pension payments," the prosecutor's office noted.

According to the regional prosecutor's office, over the first nine months of 2024, taxes totaling more than 133 million UAH were paid into the state budget from accrued salaries, including personal income tax (PIT 18%) – nearly 85 million UAH and military levy (1.5%) – over 7 million UAH.

Additionally, the regional prosecutor's office has paid contributions to the Pension Fund of Ukraine for mandatory state social insurance (ESV 22%) amounting to almost 100 million UAH.
