The construction of the Legends Tower, which stands at 581 meters and has been approved by the Oklahoma City Council, has been postponed due to a letter from the local airport director, Jeff Mulder. The official submitted a request to the Federal Aviation Administration regarding concerns that the new skyscraper could jeopardize flight safety.
It remains to be seen whether this request will lead to a complete halt of the project or if some form of compromise or redesign will be necessary. For now, construction has been delayed until 2025.
